Patronal Festival
Around St James' Day in late July we celebrate our patron saint, with the church dressed in flowers and open to visitors across the weekend.

Services & Worship
We hold a service every Sunday morning at 10.30am and offer a family-friendly, fairly traditional style of worship. Whatever brings you, you will be welcome.
What's on
Alongside our Sunday services, these gatherings run through the year. For the next dates and specific times, please get in touch or ask at a service.
Regular services
Our main service is the same time each week. What it is varies gently through the month, so there is always something familiar and something fresh.
Please do check with us before a first visit, as times can vary.
Through the month

Prayer
Prayer Space is a dedicated time, in church, for prayer and reflection as a small group. We meet on the first Saturday of the month at 10am. Anyone is welcome to join in, led by Sue in a loosely structured hour offering peace, quiet and time to pray.
The Prayer Team is a group of people who hold specific areas of our church life in their own prayers, individually and at home. We also pray for individuals or events as necessary, for example if someone is ill, is recovering from an operation, or has a special event coming up. If you would like us to include someone you know, or yourself, in our prayers at any time, please let Revd Sue know. If your request is for someone else, please obtain their permission first.
We would also be delighted to welcome new people to the Prayer Team. If you would like to know more, speak to Revd Sue.
Special services
Easter and Christmas are the key services of the church year. Beyond the Sunday rhythm, the year turns through festivals and quiet seasons, each with its own character.

Around St James' Day in late July we celebrate our patron saint, with the church dressed in flowers and open to visitors across the weekend.
An autumn thanksgiving for God's abundance, the church filled with flowers and followed by a hearty harvest lunch prepared by the cooks of the church. Funds raised have gone to charity, in the past to Facing the World, who help children with facial deformities.
We gather at the war memorial in the churchyard, where each name of the local men who fell is read aloud.
Carols by candlelight, Carols in the Churchyard, and the crib at Christmas, always a favourite with a busy church singing together, before everyone gathers at the village hall afterwards for mince pies and warm punch.
On the fourth Sunday of Lent we give thanks for mothers and for all who care for us, and the children of the congregation hand out posies of flowers to every mother in church.
From Ash Wednesday through Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, we walk together towards Easter, with a Lent lunch in the village hall along the way.
A jubilant celebration of the resurrection, the church spectacular in spring flowers.
The liturgical year
Colour is one way the church connects worshippers visually to a particular event or mystery. The choice has specific meanings as the church moves through the year, honours a special occasion, or marks a sacrament. There are six liturgical colours.

Gold and silver are allowed on special occasions.
If you are unable to attend church, due to illness, we can also offer to bring Holy Communion to you at home or in hospital. Please just ask.
